I’m designer of many persuasions including (but rarely limited to) scenography and illustration. I believe passionately in the power of design to change the quality of our lives materially, emotionally and spiritually and am an advocate for culturally inclusive design thought and practice. Having lived and worked in the Middle East, UK and India, I am now based in Mumbai where I run an independent design practice called Kahani Designworks.
Aditya and I have recently founded a new online platform called Perch for Indian perspectives on art, design and culture.

I’m an aspiring design critic/teacher studying in New York. While working towards my Masters in Design Criticism at the School of Visual Arts, I read as much as I can, explore New York City, and blog for Metropolis Magazine. I studied to be a product designer, and my heart also beats faster for textiles, crafts, sustainability, social responsibility, mythology and history.

I am a communications designer who has worked on everything from airports to baby food and even ‘fairness creams’. In 2008 I moved to London to complete a two year course at the prestigious London College of Communication and to broaden my views as a graphic designer. I think curiosity is a designer’s best friend and my interests would make a for a very long list. I’m quite partial to photography which is a key source of inspiration to my creative practice. I am currently based in London as a freelance communications designer.
Ruchita and I now write at Perch. an online platform for Indian perspectives on art, design and culture.

Quite energitic… Keep it up!!!
I’ve enjoyed the blog … content is informative and engaging. I hope to see more reviews, criticism and observations of art, design and visual culture from the Indian subcontinent. In fact, I’ve envisioned a similar concept a while back, but I think, it’s more of a team effort.
Thanks Jeevan for your encouragement. Do stay tuned…we’re always blogging and always giving our curiosity a bit of exercise. Feel free to join in the debate and point us to things that interest you too!
