Little Design Book is an online journal of design, visual culture and material culture.
Sitting in Bangalore, London and New York, we have our eyes and ears open, searching the world and the world wide web for the design stories that interest us. We have our own ways of looking at what we see, and we will be sure to tell you what we think: what is great, what is not, why it is so, and what it can be.
There is space here for detailed case studies, critical analyses, ruminations and dreams. The editors at LittleDesignBook will soon be joined by a host of guest contributors, all committed to building meaningful critical discourse around design. The journal is updated regularly, so there will always be something new for you to discover here.
We currently blog under the following categories:
Quick Take – A short, pithy, precise review of a design; quick thoughts on what works, what doesn’t, and why.
Are You Serious? – Design so bad, we can’t really believe it exists. And the reasons why we are unwilling to suspend disbelief.
Consider This – A lengthy, thoughtful consideration of a body of work, a trend or an issue; ranging from precise analysis to broad cultural criticism.
We want to hear from you and we are always open to exploring new ideas. Send us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org
